Welcome to Unit ol' #1053 of Shoreline Towers. We wish we had an interesting name for our condo, such as Lighthouse Vista, Beach Gaze Manor, Cape Ocean View, or something else as clever, but we don't. It's just plain #1053 of Shoreline Towers.
There are very few, if any, views like you have from Shoreline Towers. Why? Location, location, location. It's in the heart of Destin and as close to the oceanfront as is possible to build. In fact, they don't let them build anything this close any more. How close are you? Look at the beach scene which frames this website. It was taken from the balcony.
Let's talk about the condo itself. We remodeled it in
the Spring of 2001 and completely gutted the kitchen. Everything
was replaced. Even the knives and forks. Thanks to the
spacious layouts of Shoreline Towers, the open Kitchen and
Dining area now look directly onto the ocean.
How big is it? If you want to get out your yardstick, you'll find the entire footprint is 1430 square feet. You should spend a little time on the Internet looking at the majority of other condos in the area. It's not uncommon to see two bedroom units less than 1000 square feet, but you'll be hard pressed to find any larger. I don't know about you, but when I go on vacation I don't care for being packed in a sardine can.
And, if you're like me, you can't leave home and not still
have access to the Internet. We have installed a DSL connection in
the condo and provided you with an Internet Appliance (3Com's Audrey)
to stay in contact with your friends and family, while you
gloat over the fact that you are at the beach and they are not. It's
not a megapower desktop, but it will let you browse the 'Net. We've also
created a website for use while you are at the condo, which has listings
of phone numbers and websites that might be of use to you during your stay.

After all is said and done, the beach should be a place where you come to forget about the fast track at home. We all need a place to kick back and relax. That's what it's all about and that's what this condo is all about... giving you a place to enjoy your vacation, so when you get home you won't need to take a vacation to recover from your vacation.
Come down, kick off your shoes, run your toes through the sand and dream about... well, that part's up to you.
